There are many terms of teaching styles that describe the performances and the personalities of lecturers. Those performances and personalities have not been satisfied and dissatisfied to all students. Most students always have different concepts to their lectures' teaching styles which they need to absorb the skills from. To me, academic performances and personalities of lecturers are mainly important to my study. Through many experiences studying with several lecturers, I find out three different categories of lecturers in academic performance and personalities.
First, well-prepared lecturer having the clear goal for teaching is the best one of lecturers in my concept. He or she understands the process of teaching well and will be able to provide the skills to the students by his or her beautiful preparation. He or she will break the doubtful of the students by accurately answering all what students misunderstand during learning. Furthermore, Friendly lecture is a compulsory category which I really appreciate. I always feel satisfied with who is sociable with the students without prejudice on the rank. Lecturer has to welcome with all students, not focusing to the part of the students. Sometimes, I feel negative to who discriminate to the part of his or her students when explaining or answering. Well-prepared and friendly lecturer is the best types of lecturer whom I like during studying.
Second, flexible lecturer is also a form which I like. Intelligence of the lectures is a necessary principle causing the students became confident to what he or she teaches. Technique of teaching bases on the flexibilities of the lecturer to create the new things to explain the student avoiding the same style which bring the student bored. More to the view, fairness of lecture treating to the students is the important point. Students will admire to the lecturer who performs justice in marking, explaining, and answering. The fairness of lecturer will be a motive point to urge students focus on studying rather losing emotion in studying. Flexible and fair lecturer will bring the students more satisfied in studying.
Finally, strict lecturer is a kind which I feel negative. I think the good lecturer is not strict to the students. The strictness is a way which leads the students scared in questioning and studying. Some students dare not to raise any questions to the strict lecturer, causing the student remain the doubts in mind. It will affect to the study. In this case, I seem unenthusiastic to the moody lecturer. Moody lecture cause the students trouble in learning because his or her feeling always change. The students will believe it is useless to spend their time with who is unusual. Strict and moody lecturer is the term of lecturer that I really do not appreciate.
The category of the lecturers is a vital view which affects to the students' feeling. Students will not be able to catch the skills with the unappreciated lecturer. Well-prepared and friendly lecture is first type I appreciate, and the second is flexible and fair lecturer. I have negative feeling to the strict and moody lecture.
